 In 1983, Dr. Wright enrolled at Emory University as a member of the prestigious 
Emory Scholars Program. In her college years, she was inducted  into the Alpha 
Epsilon Delta Science Honor Society, and she consistently appeared on the 
dean’s lists for academic excellence.

 After graduating from Emory in 1987, she spent two years performing both basic 
science as well as clinical research. In the year 1989, she enrolled into Meharry 
Medical College where she received numerous academic honors and awards, 
including an induction into Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society – which 
is the highest academic honor that can be given to a medical student.

 In May of the year 1993, Dr. Sylvia Wright  started a three-year dermatology 
residency at Harvard Medical Schools, where she had the chance to serve as 
chief resident for the academic year of 1996- 1997. From the time that she joined 
Peachtree Cosmetic Dermatology in 1997, she has been able to lecture 
nationwide  on various topics, and she has also served as president of the Atlanta 
Dermatological Association.
