IIT Kharagpur (IIT KGP) offers a 3-year executive MBA through VGSoM (Vinod 
Gupta School of Management). The program is conducted at the IIT Kharagpur 
campus in Kolkata. Students enrolled in this program earn the degree of Master 
of Business Administration from IIT Kharagpur. The EMBA program helps to

Overview
The three-year EMBA program is spread over 12 trimesters. The program 
includes regular weekend classes for the first two years and a project in any 
industry in the last year. However, core compulsory subjects along with the 
electives are there for the study of the subject.

The different electives offered by the IIT KGP are Operation management, finance 
management, HRM, Marketing Management, Business Analytics, Economics, General 
Management, and Strategy.
The weekend classes consist of 15 hrs. of classroom study during weekends. The 
same can be implemented in real-time, hence learning by doing makes it more 
effective. A total of 95 credits are given during the course. Apart from this, students 
from different backgrounds join the course which results in good networking.
Eligibility
The minimum eligibility for admission to the course is:
1.The Bachelor’s degree in B.E. or B.Tech with first-class marks or
2.A first-class Master’s degree in Science, Economics, or Commerce (with mathematics 
at graduation).
3.Three years of working experience after graduation.
Admission 
Process
The selection of the candidate is based on the written test and interview at the 
IIT Kharagpur campus. Passing both exams is considered for admission. 
However, the selected candidates are required to submit an amount of ₹ 
10,000/- within a stipulated period.
The entrance exam for the EMBA program includes English & Verbal Ability, 
Quantitative Aptitude & Logical Reasoning, and Data Interpretation including 
Analytical Writing. The total marks for the exam are 120 and there is no 
Negative marking. However, the application fees for the EMBA are ₹ 1000/-.

Fee Structure Executive MBA IIT Kharagpur
The total fee for the course is ₹ 6,00,000/-. The fee is payable in four installments. The 
first installment is required to be paid along with admission and the rest can be paid in 
terms III, V, and VII respectively.
Learning Pedagogy
The institute conducts weekend classes. The total learning time per week is 15 hrs. The 
course is delivered by expert and experienced faculty. Apart from the regular lectures, 
the learning is done with the help of quizzes, case studies, discussion, presentations, 
and simulation techniques.
