The PUMBA is formed in 1971. It is the official department for the MBA course at 
Savitribai Phule Pune University. PUMBA Executive MBA program is a Two Years Post-
Graduate Programme leading to an MBA Degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University. 
The unique and thoughtfully designed program for working executives who want to 
enhance their managerial knowledge and skills.
This MBA program is for the managers of private and public sectors and Government 
(State and Central) located in and around the Pune region. However, entrepreneurs with 
sizable businesses and the requisite experience can also apply provided the business is 
registered in their name.

Overview
The executive MBA at PUMBA is a two-year degree program where the degree is 
awarded by the Savatri Bai Phule University. The main objective of the program is to 
sharpen the existing managerial skill to help them to grow in the future. Where the 
course is specially designed to create a world-class leader.
The program structure of the Executive MBA at PUMBA
The 24 months program consists of 4 semesters of 6 months each. Classes are 
conducted in the evening from Monday to Saturday between 6:30 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. The 
course comprises 5 core subjects in each course. Apart from this the institute also offers

System management, and International Business Management.
Course delivery

projects done over the curriculum. This prepares the participants for the challenge of the 
actual workplace. The evaluation is based on seminars, presentations, assignments, case

Eligibility
The minimum eligibility for applying for the executive MBA course is
1.The candidate needs to be a Graduate in any discipline from UGC/AICTE/AIU 
recognized University/Institution or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks.
2.A minimum of 3 years of work experience after graduation at the managerial 
or executive level.

Admission Process
The candidates seeking admission have to appear for the entrance exam. The total marks for the 
entrance exam are 200 including multiple choice questions. Logical reasoning, verbal ability, and 
numerical analysis are major subjects in the entrance exam paper.
