Black Rock Realty Advisors, a New York real estate
investment company, has paid $53.5 million for a
136-unit apartment community in Boston’s South
End neighborhood.
James Court Apartments at 45 East Newton St. is a
luxury complex offering studios, one- and two-
apartments from $2,170 to $3,685, according to
Trulia, the California-based online real estate
marketplace.
The seven-story property is located on
the grounds of the original Boston
College High School, adjacent to the
Penmark condominiums. The two
properties share parking in the three-
level underground garage. Constructed of
steel frame with brick veneer and metal
panel exterior, the property features a
24-hour concierge service,
complimentary coffee bar, fitness center,
valet dry cleaning, laundry facilities,
high-speed internet access, landscaped
courtyard and on-site management and
maintenance.
CBRE/New England represented the
sellers, Harrison Commons LLC, a venture
between RF Walsh Co., Kenney
Development and National Real Estate
Advisors, and procured the buyer.
