The LA Art Show: What You Need to Know INTRODUCTIO FNrom February 15–19, 2023, the LA Art Show was held at the West Hall of the LA Convention Centre. It was thrilling to welcome the art world to the 28th iteration of the largest contemporary art show in the country. With over 120 galleries, museums, and non-profit arts organisations from all over the world displaying paintings, sculptures, works on paper, installations, photographs, designs, videos, and performances, LA Art Show is the unrivalled worldwide art experience. The show continues to set the standard with cutting-edge programming and one-of-a-kind experiences for an increasing collecting audience, with more than 180,000 square feet of exhibition space allocated to today’s leading galleries. This show is similar to Affordable Art Fair. About The Show The LA Art Show was created to bring together artists, art enthusiasts, and customers to discuss various kinds of artistic expression. It takes place at the LA Convention Centre, which has an exhibition space of more than 180,000 square feet. There are often more than 200 exhibitors, with more than 40 of them being the most prominent galleries. The LA Art Show also includes panel discussions with artists whose work has been displayed there as well as lectures and debates on topics related to contemporary art in America. Kim Martindale established The LA Art Show in 1994 to display American regionalism and historic artwork. Originally hosted in Santa Monica, it was relocated to downtown Los Angeles in 2009, where it served as the impetus for the area’s resurgence.
