What is Lens Exchange Surgery?
Thousands of people have been enjoying improved vision by availing

This surgery involves using artificial lens to replace defective natural

is referred to as IOL or intraocular lens. 
Procedure for Lens Replacement Surgery
The lens replacement surgery takes just about 10-15 minutes per eye. 
The first step is carried out by using anaesthetic eye drops to numb 
the eye. Then using a small incision, the natural lens of the eye is 
replaced by an artificial lens. There are various types of implantable 
lens- Monofocal Lens, Multifocal Lens, Trifocal Lens and Toric Lens.
 
The choice of lens depends on various factors including the condition 
being treated and the patient’s personal preferences.
Lens replacement surgery is also sometimes referred to as clear lens 
extraction or presbyopic lens exchange.
Eligibility Requirement 
Lens Replacement Surgery is most suitable for older people, i.e., 
patients who are 50+ years of age. It is because they are at higher risk 
of developing cataracts. With lens replacement surgery, cataract 
surgery in future is not required. People who are not eligible for 
laser eye surgery in Delhi are also good candidates of lens exchange 
surgery.  
However, patients who are not suitable for multifocal lenses are:
People who have suffered from visual field loss form Glaucoma
Patients with high degree of diabetes

Risks Involved in Lens Exchange Surgery
There are a few risks with this procedure like with any other surgical 
procedure. Some common problems faced by patients who undergo 
Lens Replacement Surgery are:

•  Lens clouding
•  Itching or soreness
•  Increased eye pressure
•  Sensitivity to light
•  Vision derived not as expected
