                     Who is Rishi Sunak? 
 
 
Sunak, the current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, is chosen by fellow members of 
Britain's Conservative Party, which currently controls parliament.  
 
Rishi Sunak will be tasked with steering the UK through the Brexit process and the country's 
response to the coronavirus pandemic. He has said that his top priority is to "get the country 
through this difficult time." 
 
Sunak is a relative newcomer to politics, having been elected to parliament only in 2015. He 
previously worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs. He will now be tasked with 
steering the UK through the Brexit process and beyond.

Amber de Botton, the current head of UK news at ITV, has been appointed as Rishi Sunak's 
new director of communications, Downing Street has confirmed. This happens in a series of 
appointments made by the new prime minister in his first week in office, making it among the 
top  UK political news. 
 
Botton has a wealth of experience in the media and communications industry, having worked 
in various roles over the years. Most recently, she has been responsible for leading ITV's 
news output in the UK, which includes flagship programs such as Good Morning Britain, 
Lorraine, and This Morning. 
 
She has also worked as a producer on several high-profile documentaries, including the 
Bafta-nominated Kids on the Edge, which followed the lives of children with mental health 
problems. 
 
Amber de Botton will be a key member of Rishi Sunak's team as he sets out to deliver on his 
promises to the British people. 
 
Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer Clash over immigration Centre 
scandal  
 
The UK government is amid a scandal over its treatment of child migrants, with the Home 
Secretary coming under fire for handling the situation. In Prime Minister's Questions today, 
Labour leader Keir Starmer got straight to the point, asking, "Who broke the asylum 
system?" 
 
 Prime Minister Rishi Sunak defended Home Secretary Suella Braverman, saying she has 
taken "significant action" to fix the problem of finding accommodation for migrants.

But Starmer was not satisfied with this response, saying that the government "broke" the 
system and "knew" about the problems at the immigration detention centre in Kent. 
 
He also accused the government of "ignoring" the problem of child migrants and called on 
the Prime Minister to "apologise" for how the situation was handled. 
 
The Prime Minister insisted that the government is "taking action" to address the problems at 
the centre and said that Labour's calls for an inquiry are "premature." 
 
However, public pressure on the government over handling the situation might be an inquiry.
