NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE SCHEME (NDIS)
The National Disabil ity Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a 
government-funded program in Australia that provides 
support for people with disabil ity. The NDIS provides funding 
for necessary supports and services to help people with 
disabil ity l ive more independently and participate in their 
communities. The NDIS covers a range of support and 
services, including myotherapy, lymphatic drainage, and 
remedial massage.
To access NDIS funding for myotherapy, lymphatic drainage, 
and remedial massage, the person with disabil ity must fi rst 
be eligible for the NDIS and have a plan in place. The 
person’s NDIS plan wil l outline the supports and services they 
are eligible for, and the funding available for each support. 
Myotherapy can be included in the person’s NDIS plan if it is 
deemed reasonable and necessary to help the person achieve 
their goals and l ive a more fulfi ll ing life.

It is important to note that NDIS funding for 
myotherapy, lymphatic drainage, and or remedial 
massagemay not cover all costs associated with 
the service, and participants may need to pay a 
portion of the costs themselves. It is also 
important to note that not all myotherapy 
services may be approved by the NDIS, and 
participants may need to choose a service 
provider who is registered with the NDIS to
