•Dussehra is celebrated to remark a victory of
truth/Dharma over Adharma. (Evil thoughts and
behavior)
•It is celebrated every year in India, on the tenth day of
Navratri which end of Navratri.
•A very obvious question is that Why? Why at the end
of Navratri only?

The victory of Durga maa over
Mahishasur
•It has to be said that on this day Maa Durga killed the
evil Mahishasur, and free the world from his dangerous
behavior.
•That's why Maa Durga also called MAHISHASUR-
VARDHINI.

places in north states celebrated and remember this
victory on the last day of Navratri.

Dussehra every year.

celebrate this day by burning effigies of Ravana.

Arjuna defeated the Kaurava in the war of Hastinapur.
•It is marked as a day when Dharma won over
Adharma.
•Dusshera is also celebrated in Nepal and other places
