Company Description

Intel Corp. participates in the manufacture, and purchase 
laptop or computer products and technologies. It delivers 
computer, networking, data storage and communications 
platforms. It operates its business with the following 
segments: Client Computing Group, Data Center Group, 
Internet of products Group, Non-Volatile Memory Solutions 
Group, Programmable Solutions, and all sorts of Other. The 
Customer Computing Group segment includes platforms 
created for notebooks, 2 in 1 systems, desktops, tablets, 
phones, wireless and wired connectivity products, and 
mobile communication components. The Information 
Centre Group segment includes workload-enhanced 
platforms and related products created for enterprise, 
cloud, and communication infrastructure market.


The Beginning:

Intel began in 1968 when physicist Robert Noyce 
and chemist Gordon Moore made the decision to 
begin their very own company after getting 
laboured together for Shockley Semiconductor 
Laboratory and then at Fairchild Semiconductor. 
Initially they desired to name the organization 
Moore Noyce but made the decision against it 
once they recognized it sounded much like ‘more 
noise’.

Intel Inside

The “Intel Inside” brand campaign was processed in 1991 
and it Intel became one of the most popular brands of the 
world. Its having the number one spot in the market for 
the semiconductor manufacturers and  its on the second 
place in Samsung Electronics by quite a margin. In 2009 
Intel was named as one of the most powerful brand in the 
world.

New Name:

The new name of the company came and is the 
combination of the two words “Integrated 
circuits” and “Electronics”. 

Thus INTEL was started and is worldwide 
recognized brand when it comes to computers of 
any kind. 


The Cubicle

Intel was one of the first companies who used the 
cubicle system in its office.The current CEO Paul 
Otellini had supported the cubicle by using office 
space instead of a personal office.
  
 


Intel Museum

Intel has also museum that has different artifacts 
and interesting fact is that the company and its 
40 years old history. The museum is awesome 
and visited by more than 85,000 people annually.
