• Cartosat-3 is an advanced Earth observation satellite launched
by India’s ISRO in November 2019, which will replace the
Indian Remote Sensing satellites.

• The Cartosat-3 was launched on 27 November 2019 on the
PSLV C47 at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in
Andhra Pradesh, into a sun-synchronous orbit of 509
kilometres.
