A PROJECT MANAGER
Who is a Project Manager?
• A project manager is an individual who is liable
for driving the task.
• They guarantee that the task is finished inside
the predetermined cut-off time and gets
conveyed to the customer with no blemishes.
• He/she handles all the parts of the venture from
venture inception to extend conveyance

• The role of the project manager is to
ensure projects are delivered on time
and on budget.
• He/she must also engage and

Responsibilities of a Project

1. Planning
Planning addresses each of the following
questions:
• What tasks need to be completed?
• Who is to complete these tasks?
• By when should these tasks be
completed?
2. Organizing
• Getting sorted out is tied in with allotting
jobs to the colleagues and setting cut-off
times to accomplish targets.

individuals can use.
3. Leading
• The project manager must coordinate with
different people to ensure that the project goes
on in a smooth manner.
• He/she needs to keep a regular check on the
project developments.
4. Monitoring
Project managers use the following three-
step controlling process:
• Measure: Keep a strict vigil on the progress
of the project
• Evaluate: Determine the root causes of
deviations
• Correct: Make appropriate corrections to
address the issue of deviation
5. Communicating
• Communication has a big role in the
success of a project.
• The project manager has to interact with
various people that includes the project
sponsors, clients, external vendors and
team members.
6. Managing Risk
Risk is an unavoidable piece of a project. In
this way, dealing with these questionable
conditions which can negatively affect the
undertaking is a basic job of a project
manager.
7. Time management:
• Staying on schedule is crucial to the successful
completion of any project. Time management is
therefore one of the key responsibilities of a
project manager.
