I am currently working as a director and 
clinical administrator in the department of 
orthopaedics in Marengo Asia Hospital, 
Gurgaon. Prior to this, I was heading the 
unit in Fortis memorial research institute in 
Gurgaon from August 2012 till June 2016. I 
started the orthopaedic department in 
Fortis hospital. As an orthopaedic surgeon 
with a wealth of experience of over 20 
years in complex trauma and elective 
orthopaedic surgery, both in India and in 
the UK I have developed a special interest 
in lower limb joint replacement surgery
Robotic Hip Replacement Surgery 
The failure of total Robotic Hip Replacement is not uncommon. Failure can occur due to component loosening 
with or without infection. Our patient is 62 years of age with hip replacement performed only one year ago. The 
Pre-op x-ray reveals that the cup has moved inside the pelvis. Preoperatively, angiogram was done to see the 
relationship of the cup with the blood vessels. After careful planning, this gentleman had cage to support the cup. 
The hip was stable after the surgery. Patient was allowed to walk full weight bearing from next day

possible human errors in the process.
