How Hypertension is related to heart disease & what is 
the impact of hypertension on the heart?
Chronic high blood pressure higher than 120/80mmhg causes hypertensive heart disease. As 
people get older they are prone to get heart diseases with the increase in age. Heart failure 
occurs most often in people who are older than 65. Hypertension heart disease refers to a 
heart condition caused by blood pressure. Heart working under pressure causes some 
serious heart problems or heart disorders.
Hypertensive heart disease includes heart failure, thickening of heart muscles, coronary

and stroke.
