The Rajasthani government established Elephant village (Hathi Gaon), a tiny communal hamlet next to Amber Fort in Jaipur. The Aravali mountain ranges serve as a refuge and water supply for the family who care for the elephants. Elephants from the South Indian woods are exclusively brought to Jaipur in Rajasthan State.
