pool are normally visible. Squeezing the food coloring around the 
crack can cause the food coloring to be drawn in by the crack. This 
will reveal the location of the pool's leak. It's easy to fix a leak 
after it's been found by using a patching material.

patched the hole, use your food coloring to double-check that

patching close to a fitting, you need to turn off the pump as it 
cures so the water doesn't wash the patch away.
