selecting how to study is a significant

Many learning providers offer a variety 
of study methods and we wish the 
information below will help you select 
the study method most appropriate for 
you.
Approved Learning Partners
There are lots of different ways to study for your exams - and we 
strongly suggest that you study through an Approved Learning 
Partner (ALP). ALPs are judged by ACCA, for the standard of their 
ACCA course management, study support, and delivery. We 
constantly monitor pass rates of ACCA students studying with ALPs as 
this is one of the benchmarks needed to determine and maintain the 
level of acceptance awarded. Our investigation shows that students 
who study with an ALP perform much better in the exams than those 
who don’t.
Approved Learning Partners - levels of 
approval
This is the greatest and most 
Platinum prestigious level of approval, available 
to learning providers who teach ACCA 
qualifications. Platinum ALPs are needed 
to meet our global best practice 
standard relating to course 
management and institution, student 
support, and course delivery. Platinum 
ALPs are needed to demonstrate 
aspirants' pass rates, which exceed 
global averages for the majority of the 
exam they teach.
Gold This level of acceptance is awarded to 
learning providers who offer tuition for 
either ACCA Qualification or Foundations 
in Accountancy suite of qualifications. 
Gold ALPs need to meet our global best 
practice benchmarks relating to course 
management and institution, course 
delivery, and student support. Following 
the acceptance, Gold ALPs are required to 
display student pass rates appropriate for 
this level of approval.
Silver
This level of acceptance is normally awarded to 
learning providers new to educating ACCA 
qualifications, who are working towards being 
accepted at the Gold level. Before registering with any 
learning provider, we assured to check the range of 
products they offer and the terms and conditions that 
apply.
Face-to-face tuition
Full-time, classroom-based tuition is taken at the learning provider’s premises. Full-time tuition basically takes 
place during office hours, Monday to Friday, over a period of various weeks or months. For the time span of the 
course, you may be taught one or more of the ACCA papers, learn the curriculum, and apply the knowledge 
required through question practice and mastering exam techniques in preparation.
 Some of the reasons why you choose full-time study:
• When not in full-time employment
• To complete your ACCA exam requirement as soon as possible
• When taking a career break
• When wishing to focus only on your studies
Part-time, classroom-based tuition is delivered at the learning provider’s premises. The courses will usually occur 
in the evening or at the weekends and may last several weeks or months. Part-time courses can also be 
condensed into a more intensive period of many days, during weekdays or weekends. For the time span of the 
course, you will be taught the module for your chosen ACCA exam(s), learn the syllabus, and apply the 
knowledge needed through question practice and mastering exam techniques in preparation for the 
examination.
Other Updates
The Knowledge syllabus exams for the ACCA Qualification are all assessed 
using little questions, known as objective questions. This is to make sure that 
examiners are able to assess widely across their syllabuses in the time 
permitted. All 3 exams contain 50 questions, and the pass mark is 50%. The 
exams have a time limitation of two hours. This structure is the same for both 
computer-based exams and paper-based. Preparing for Knowledge syllabus 
exams possibly demands a different strategy than that taken when preparing 
for exams that need longer answers. In paper-based exams, all the questions 
are multiple-choice and include two, three, or four-answer options. The CBEs 
cover the same module areas as the paper-based exams but include a wider 
range of questions, which are expressed later in this article. As in paper-based 
exams, questions can be means one or two marks.
