WORKING PRINCIPLES 
OF RPD GAS METER
The RPD gas meter operates using two 
synchronized figure-eight-shaped impellers 
housed within a precisely machined chamber. 
As gas enters the meter, it pushes the rotors to 
turn. With each rotation, a fixed volume of gas 
is trapped between the rotors and the chamber 
wall and then released toward the outlet. The 
number of rotations is directly proportional to 
the volume of gas passing through, allowing 
for highly accurate and consistent flow 
measurement, even at low flow rates.
