Extreme Networks is a networking company established in San Jose, California. The company 
became mounted in 1996. It design, produce, and set up Ethernet laptop community products for 
agency and metro Ethernet networks the usage of the speed of 10 Gb Ethernet, 40 Gb Ethernet and 
one hundred Gb Ethernet.
Extreme produces Summit series network equipment’s that consist of switches and routers. The info 
of Summit collection network devices and the sorts of transceivers supported through that collection 
is given below. The summit collection consist of Extreme Switching™ X620, Extreme Switching™ 
X440-G2, Summit® X450-G2 Series, Summit X770 Series, E4G-four hundred Cell Site Aggregation 
Router and ReachNXT100-8t switches.

Extreme Switching™ X620
The Extreme Switching X620 product family is a compact 10 Gb Ethernet transfer designed for 10GB 
aspect applications. The family consists of 10 port and sixteen port of 10 Gb Ethernet variations all in a 
small 1RU shape factor.
EXTREME SWITCHING X620 MODULES
There are four modules in X620 switches.
X620-16x – 16 100Mb/1Gb/10Gb SFP+ ports using hot-swappable power supplies and fan modules.
X620-16t – 12 100Mb/1Gb/10GBASE-T ports with EEE, 4 ports 100Mb/1Gb/10GBASE-T with EEE shared 
with 4 ports of 1Gb/10GBASE-X SFP+ using hot-swappable power supplies and fan modules
X620-10x – 10 100Mb/1Gb/10Gb SFP+ ports with integrated power supply and fans
X620-8t-2x – 8 100Mb/1Gb/10GBASE-T ports with EEE, plus 2 ports of 100Mb/1Gb/10GBASE-X SFP+ 
with integrated power supply and fans+
