The General Data Protection 

Regulation (GDPR) is a legal framework 

for all organisations, that sets rule and 

regulations for the collection and 

processing of personal information of 

individuals within the European Union 

(EU). GDPR regulations was adopted on 

April 27, 2016. The GDPR forms part of 

the data protection in UK, together with 

the new Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 

2018). EU Data Protection Directive, and 

it became effective on May 25, 2018.
