Registry Editor In Windows 10:
1. Perform SFC Scannow Command:
To fix this issue, you should perform a SFC command as this
scans the whole system for corrupt files. For this, first you have
to press Start Menu and after this, type Command Prompt in
the search bar. Now, you have to right-click on desktop app and
just choose Run as Administrator option. If it ask for
confirmation, you have hit on Yes option. Now you have to type
sfc/scannow and just press Enter key. You have to wait for
sometime till the process complete. At the end, just you have
to restart your system. Now check the problem is solved or not.
2. Using Group Policy Editor:
First of all, you have to press Win+ R key to launch Run dialog.
Now in the box, you have to type gpedit.msc and hit OK button
to open Group Policy Editor. Then go to the following address-
User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System
Now just locate Prevent access to registry editing tools and
double click on it. Here you have to change the setting and set
it to Disabled or Not configured. At the end, reboot your
computer system. And check the error is fixed or not.
3. Manually Enable Regedit:
For this, just go to the bottom left hand side of the PC and just
you have to right-click on the Start icon. Now from the list, you
have to select Run option. Here you have to, copy/paste the
following code and press Enter key.

At the end, just reboot your PC.
4. Reset Your PC:
For this, press Win + I key to launch Settings. Then you have to
hit on Update and Security option and then select Recovery
which is on the left side. Now go to the right side and tap on
Get Started option which is under Reset this PC section. After
this, just select Keep my files option and then follow all the
instructions to complete the process.
