Steps to Stop Automatic Updates on Windows 10:
1. Disable the Windows Update Service:
For disabling Window Update, you have to click on the start
button and then you have to open Run option. Now in the Run
search bar, you have to type in “services.msc” and just press
Enter key. After this, from the service list you have to select the
Windows Update service. Then, you have to click on the
“General” tab and then just you have to modify the “Startup
Type” to “Disabled”. At the end, you must restart your
computer system.
2. Set Up a Metered Connection:

to scroll down through “Computer Configuration” to
“Administrative Templates. Here you have to select the
“Windows Components” and then select “Windows Update”.
Now, you have to select the option “Configure Automatic
Updates. Then you have to select the option which indicates
“Notify for download and auto-install”. After this, you have to
click on “Apply” option and then hit “OK” button. Now you have
to type “Windows Update” in the Start menu and then just click
on “Windows Update Settings.” After this, you just have to
restart your PC. At last, you have to check for updates. If it
found the updates then you will be informed by Windows but it
will not automatically installed on your device.
