FIFA World Cup 2022 is approaching rather fast. Set to be 
hosted in  Qatar, the 22nd edition of football's greatest event 
will kick off on 21 November 2022.
Each of the thirty-two participating nations have been confirmed, 
with  Costa Rica grabbing the last spot by defeating New Zealand 
on June 14.
Star players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Gareth Bale, 
Keylor  Navas, Karim Benzema, etcetera, are all going to grace 
Qatar's FIFA  World Cup 2022 in what may be their last appearance 
in the showpiece  tournament. However, the same can not be said 
about some others.

The 30-year-old right winger was rather suave for Liverpool in the 
recently  concluded edition of English Premier League. Not only did 
Salah's tally of  23 PL goals win him the Premier League Golden Boot, 
it also helped 'The  Reds' to a second-placed finish.
It is beyond argument that Mohamed Salah is one of the most talented 
 attackers going on across the world. 118 goals from five seasons of 
Premier  League football, in itself, is not everyone's cup of Joe. And 
then to top it off  with 46 assists- Salah has been a complete and 
consistent attacker for a  while now.
Erl ing  H a a l a n d
Born in Leeds, United Kingdom, Erling Haaland is football's new 
darling.  Ever-so-athletic and predatory in front of the goal, Haaland 
is the very  definition of a modern day footballer.
His ruthlessness, speed, and finishing skills make him quite a package, 
and  that's then reason why Pep Guardiola and Manchester City went 
after him,  breaking their recent trend of not going for an out-and-out 
striker.
To see Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe face-off against each other 
in a  World Cup would have been a thing of beauty. But that thing of 
beauty has  to wait for its time.
Gianluigi  D o n n a r u m m a
Gianluigi Donnarumma Cavaliere, 23, was earmarked for huge 
success  right from the start. He was handed his first international 
cap in the 2018  FIFA World Cup warm-up game against France, and 
ever since then,  Donnarumma has been one of the best young 
goalkeepers out there.
Italy's EURO 2020 win could not have been possible sans 
Gianluigi  Donnarumma's brilliant form.
The Italians etched history when they came out victorious in two 
penalty  shootouts (including the final) in the same edition of the 
tournament, and  a lot of that had to do with Donnarumma.

Bosnia and Herzegovina failed to make the final cut; and that  
means three-time Bosnian Footballer of The Year, Edin Dzeko, 
will  not be featuring in the final round of the 2022 FIFA World 
Cup.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina captain had a decent 2021-22 that  
resulted in 22 G/A across competitions for Serie-A club Inter 
Milan.  However, he wasn't as effective in FIFA World Cup 2022 
qualifiers  where he had to do most of the heavy lifting.
Edin Dzeko has been one of the better players of his generation.  
Moreover, with a record sixty-three international goals for 
Bosnia,  he is a national legend.

Zlatan "Greatest of All Time" Ibrahimovic is a crowd favorite; and 
more  importantly, he is his own favorite. And when your favorite 
football  athlete misses out on an event as grand as the FIFA World 
Cup, it  hurts.
Therefore, it is only logical if Zlatan Ibrahimovic is hurting, which 
he  probably is.
Sweden ended Group B placed second, three points behind Spain. 
That  meant Zlatan's nation had to fight for a World Cup berth with 
Robert  Lewandowski's Poland.
