Operation
• Operation is as basic as an on/off button. The ceramic and tourmaline plates heat 
up in about 60 seconds and glide smoothly through your hair.

Being such a simple iron, it does not allow you to regulate the temperature, which 
is fixed at 210º. It is quite hot, so you must be careful and not make too many 
passes if you do not want to damage the hair. In this sense, it is good that the 
plates are quite long (10 cm) since you can iron large sections at a time.

that you do not take this straightener up to the maximum temperature that it 
admits, but that you move around 180 – 200 degrees. You may need more passes, 
but your hair will appreciate it.

Also, when you exceed 200 degrees, there are parts of the case that get hot, so its 
insulation can be improved.

without having great additions, more than fulfills its mission of shaping the hair

• The keratin coating helps protect the hair and the tourmaline prevents frizz. It 
does not include the function of an ionizer, but it does prevent static electricity 
quite a bit and helps leave hair smooth and shiny.

The iron takes 60 seconds to reach the optimum temperature. It's a bit slow, but 
that's where the price comes in: you'll have to assess whether it's worth paying 
double to gain 45 seconds every morning.

The temperature range is the usual one, between 130º and 230º, it is regulated 
with a wheel on the side. Once set, the locking system prevents inadvertent 
changes and the temperature automatically stabilizes after each pass.
• Its narrow shape and the lock to store the iron closed make it easy to transport. 
But you will have to wait for it to cool down before storing it, because it does not 
include a thermal cover. In any case, in this price range, you can't ask for more: a 
reliable and simple straightener that does its job without damaging your hair.
• The Remington brand has positioned itself in the hair straightener market as 
synonymous with quality at a good price.Some people contrast it with GHD, the 
standard brand that falls into a higher price category. Without directly rivaling in 
performance, the Remington stands up to you with excellent value for money.
