SUMMARY
Sound healing training is an aspect of music- used to reduce stress, 
improve the physical, mental health, and well-being of individuals. Many 
consider this as a new-age wellness therapy, but sound healing is one of 
the oldest forms of healing known to man. This therapy has been used 
by ancient Greeks to cure mental disorders and make people work 
faster, and boost morale. 
There is also a popular belief among 
several communities that sound can heal 
the body. This is because of the impact 
that sound frequencies have on our 
feelings. Just think of the different types 
of music that often bring a specific kind 
of emotion to us. 
How it works
Music therapy uses different aspects of 
sound- to address the physical, 
emotional, cognitive, and social needs of 
an individual to achieve profound states 
of relaxation. A certified music therapist 
attempts to form a bond with their client 
in order to create a music that will heal 
the individual. 
Music therapy doesn’t have any fixed age criteria. People of all ages 
(with any disease or not) can use music to release energetic blockages in 
order to induce a state of ease and harmony in the body.
The session may start with you sitting or lying down on the floor or on a 
yoga mat and simply listening to some music or sounds played by your 
certified sound healing practitioner either from a speaker or a variety of 
special tools such as a tuning fork or a singing bowl.
