Farmers’ protest against the government is now going on 
for so long now, because the Government has passed 3 
farm bills which farmers think do not support their needs.

The Three Farm Laws
In september 2020, Government of India passed 
three farm reform bills which are as following:-
1. The Farmers’ Produce Trade And Commerce (Promotion And Facilitation) Bill, 
2. The Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 
3. The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Bill.
Reason
The farm reforms have been done by the government so that 
farmers can decide MSP before growing crops and that they 
can sell their produce anywhere. But it creates a problem for 
the protester as they think gradually the Government will 
remove MSP and businessmen would take over everything.
