Method 1-: Enable the Camera webcam privacy switch
Many times the laptop camera stops and we feel that it is not working properly. So, first of all, you 
need to check whether the camera switch on the laptop is on or off.
How do I turn on the camera on my HP laptop
Check the sides of the laptop, on hp models on the right or left side of the laptop there should be an 
icon known as “webcam privacy switch”, find – and drag it to the “on” option.
You can also turn on the camera by pressing the webcam shutter key on the keyboard, which is usually 
next to the function keys. The small light on the switch will let you know if the camera is on or off.
Method 2-: Check the built-in camera settings on the laptop
You can also check the privacy settings for the built-in camera on your laptop. To check camera 
settings, follow these instructions:
Turn on your laptop, refresh it and go to the taskbar.
Find Camera in the search bar.
Click on “Camera Privacy Settings” under the Camera section.
