The Lenovo Yoga 9i’s battery can be replaced, just like the model from the 
previous year, but we don’t really advise it.
Lenovo considers the battery of the Yoga 9i to be a field replaceable unit, 
so if you have experience fixing computers, you can do it (FRU). That

Replace the Lenovo Yoga 9i’s battery (2023)
The steps listed below can be used to replace the battery in a Lenovo Yoga 
9i (2023). Please take note that you must first unplug the Yoga 9i’s power 
adapter, flip it over, and then turn it off. Also, to prevent discharges of 
static energy that could harm your Yoga 9i, you should wear the anti-static 
wrist strap throughout this process (2023).
• With the hinge facing away from you, place the Yoga 9i on a flat surface.
• Pry the rubber foot’s two ends apart. Take the feet off.

• Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the nine screws located at the bottom. (5 at the top, 4 at 
the bottom)
• The screws should be put in a separate location and laid out in the same direction that you removed 
them.
• Remove the bottom case cover using a pry tool. Remove the cover cautiously, starting at the bottom 
corners next to the hinge.
• The system board and battery should be disconnected. Pull the connector with your fingernail; do not 
pull the cable.
• By unfastening the five Phillips head screws, you can raise up the battery pack and remove it. (Two at 
the bottom, three on top)
• Replace the screws you removed, then install the new battery pack.
• Reconnect the system board and the battery cable.
• Recover the cover.
• Return the cover’s screws to their original positions and tighten them.
