• Uptown International School (UIS), a Taaleem school, is one of the country's 
most prestigious IB schools. UIS is a multilingual, global educational 
institution located in the heart of the Mirdif community in Dubai. Here

• We are an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering 
the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), 
and the Diploma Programme (DP). The school language of instruction is 
English. The Arabic language studies are in the Early Years Programme and 
French is offered from Grade 1 onwards.

SCHOOL ADMISSION IN DUBAI 
Step 1: Submit an Application The first step in the admission procedure is to complete and submit the online 
application form, which is available on the UIS website. The application form will require basic information 
about the student, such as their details, academic history, and any relevant documents, such as transcripts or 
reports from the previous school.
Step 2: Assessment and Interview Once the application is submitted, the UIS admission team will review the 
application and may request additional documents, such as academic transcripts, recommendations, and 
English language proficiency test results, if applicable. Depending on the grade level and curriculum, students 
may also be required to undergo an entrance assessment to determine their academic readiness.
Step 3: Offer of Admission Based on the assessment and interview, UIS will notify the student and their family 
of the admission decision. If the student is offered admission, the school will provide a formal acceptance 
letter, which will outline the terms and conditions of enrollment, including the tuition fees, payment schedule, 
and any other relevant information.
Step 4: Acceptance and Enrollment Upon receiving the acceptance letter, the family must confirm their 
acceptance by signing the acceptance letter and paying the required admission fees and tuition deposit within 
the specified timeline to secure the student's seat. The family will also need to complete the remaining 
enrollment formalities, such as submitting the necessary documents, medical records, and signed agreements, 
as per the school's requirements.
Step 5: Orientation and Start of School Before the start of the academic year, UIS conducts an orientation 
program for new students and their families to familiarize them with the school's policies, procedures, and 
facilities. The academic year typically begins in September, and the student is ready to start their educational 
journey at UIS.
