 The PG program in Power Electronics & Drives 
is a 2 years full time specialization program 
opted by students who have been awarded 
B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Electrical 
Engineering. The program has been designed 
keeping in view that in today’s scenario more 
than 60% electric power generated will be 
transformed and used by electric drives of 
machines. Modern microprocessor control and 
advanced power electronics devices allow 
versatile speed and torque control of electric 
machines. 
Career Prospective

 A Master's Degree in Power Electronics and 
Drive allows students to demonstrate their 
abilities in a variety of fields of the automation 
industry. Electric Drives Engineers are 
recruited by companies like GE, Schneider 
Electric, Philips, Alstom, Adani Power, Jindal, 
Crompton & Greaves etc. Students are enticed
