 Bacterial infections are caused by bacteria called

 Fungal infections are generally caused by inhalation spores. 
Fungal pneumonia is very rare and is caused by either

 Nosocomial organisms cause a condition called 
nosocomial pneumonia. These organisms are usually common 
to a particular community setting. 
 Legionnaire's Disease occurs when patients ingest water 
contaminated with bacteria called Legionnella pneumonia-
philia. If the condition deteriorates it leads to pneumonia.
 Bronchitis if left untreated can cause pneumonia. Bronchitis 
strikes when there is an inflammation of the bronchial tubes 
that carry air to the alveoli.
