This article explains about setting up the Canon PIXMA TR7020 printer. So, go through the instructions
without skipping.
Unboxing:
The printer setup begins with unpacking the printer from the package. Canon provides a power cord, safety
and important documentation, and FINE ink cartridges along with the printer. Once you are ready to set up
the printer, remove the protective tapes and covers from both inside and outside the printer. To get your
Canon printer ready, connect it to an electrical outlet using the provided power cord and press the Power
button. When the printer is ready, set your basic preferences using the control panel keys.
Installing FINE ink cartridges:
Start by opening the scanner unit and release the ink cartridge locking lever. You may need to remove the
ink cartridge from the container and the protective tape from the cartridge as well.  You should load the
color ink cartridge in the left-side holder and the black ink cartridge on the right-side holder. Once you
have done installing the FINE ink cartridges,  close the scanner unit and proceed with loading the print
media.
Loading paper:
Before you begin loading the paper, select Yes when the printer asks you to start aligning the print head to
improve print quality. For printing, you should load a paper stack into the paper cassette. The edge guides
inside the paper cassette should align with the paper stack for correct paper feeding. Once you have loaded
print  media,  extend  the  paper  output  tray  and  print  an  alignment  page  by  following  the  on-screen
instructions.
Installing the printer software:
After completing the basic printer settings, the printer software has to be installed on your computer. You
can execute the printer software installation using the Setup CD-ROM that comes along with the printer. In
case your printer doesn’t support the CD-ROM, download the driver from the official Canon site. Installing
the printer software allows you to access the printer functions remotely from the computer. For mobile
printing, Canon provides the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app.
