Kyphosis is an abornal curve of the spine. It is also known as hunchback. Kyphosis can lead to vertebral fractures and bone loss. This is where one can undergo kyphoplasty. Kyphoplasty is a surgical treatment for the spinal cord or it is a medical treatment which is used to treat kyphosis. In kyphoplasty, bone cement is injected through a small hole in the skin into fractured vertebrae which helps to relive an individual of back pain. Kyphoplasty is considered to be a minimally invasive surgical procedure that is used to treat vertebral compression fractures.
