Bone marrow transplant also referred to as hematopoietic stem cell. It is a soft vascular tissue present in the interior of long bones. It comprises of two types of stem cells, that are hematopoietic and mesenchymal stem cells. Bone marrow is mainly responsible for the haematopoiesis, (formation of blood cells), production of lymphocytes, and the storage of fats. The bone marrow transplant is the last alternative generally recommended by the physicians in the cases of fatal bone marrow diseases and bone or skin cancer.
