Hotmail IMAP and SMTP settings
Introduction
 The Hotmail mail service supports the IMAP and SMTP server settings. 
 If you are using an email client to access your Hotmail account, 
 the client should be configured with the IMAP and SMTP server settings 
of the Hotmail IMAP.
Change Account Window
 In the Change Account window, fill the required details.
 Account Type: IMAP
 Incoming mail server: imap-mail.outlook.comOutgoing mail 
server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
Server Connections
 Go to the Advanced tab, enter the information given below, and select the 
OK button.
 IMAP mail server port: 993
 Encrypted connection: SSL/TLS
 SMTP mail server port: 587
 Encrypted connection: STARTTLS/TLS
On Thunderbird
 Launch the Thunderbird email client window and go to the Menu.
 Select the EditTools menu and click the Account Settings option.
 On the Account settings window, select your Hotmail account.
 On the left panel, just below your account name, the Server Settings menu 
will be present, click on that.
Enter Incoming Server
 Enter the Incoming server (IMAP) details, as mentioned above.
 Now, click Outgoing Server, which is at the bottom of the left panel.
 Change the Outgoing Server (SMTP) settings on the right panel with the 
server information as given above under the Outlook client for configuring 
the hotmail IMAP.
