What is SAT and how to plan for the exams?
• The SAT is a standardized test widely used for college 
admissions in the US and for many other international 
universities given by students who want to complete their 
graduation from a foreign state. Earlier the test was known as 
Scholastic Aptitude Test and now has been revised to 
Scholastic Assessment test, popularly known as SAT. The test 
comprises of 10 total testing sections in which first section is a 
25-minute essay and the last section is a 10-minute multiple-
choice writing section.  In the exam, students are assessed on 
the basis of their listening, reading, writing and speaking skills.

Eligibility Criteria for applying for SAT
• If you have completed 12 years of schooling from any recognized board 
(Indian) or university, you can give the SAT exam. 
• You can try your luck with the exams and there is no minimum scores, you 
just need to pass the school and board exams. 
• The SAT scores are valid for five years, most universities/ colleges accept 
scores up to five years. 
• Countries which accept SAT score include Australia, United Kingdom, 
Singapore and Canada, and hence if you are planning for the university 
among these countries, you should definitely give the exam and increase 
your chances of the selection in your desired university.
