•With the print head facing upward in the case 
of HP 15, 45, or 78, or downward in the case of 
HP 78, locate the ink opening in the cartridge’s 
center. Remove the label and insert the ball into 
the cartridge using a ballpoint pen.
•Connect the needle to the syringe and fill the 
syringe with ink.
•INJECT THE INK SLOWLY INTO THE CARTRIDGE. 
Put an end to the process if ink begins to well up 
from the fill hole. REMEMBER NOT TO OVERFILL.
•Remove the cartridge’s top cap. Scotch tape the 
cartridge’s top to seal the hole.
