IIT JAM Exam
IIT JAM, is a Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. which is conducted by IITs and IISC for
Integrated PhD Degree Programs at IISc Bangalore and M.Sc. (2 years), Joint M.Sc.
-PhD, M.Sc.-PhD Dual Degree, M.Sc. -M.Tech., M.Sc. -M.S. (Research)/PhD Dual
Degree and other Post-Bachelor Degree Programs at IITs.
Candidates who are qualified graduation in science field or in a qualifying year can
apply for this exam.
IIT JAM Exam 2020 will be held on 9th February 2020 and the application process has
been started from 5th September 2019.

As exam authority has removed Biological sciences, IIT JAM Exam will be conducted
only in six subjects which are-
1. Biotechnology (BT)
2. Chemistry (CY)
3. Geology (GG)
4. Mathematics (MA)
5. Mathematical Statistics (MS)
6. Physics (PH)

IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria
• Candidates from any nation can apply for this exam.
• There is no age limit.
• Candidates should have bachelor’s degree as a qualifying examination degree,
must be passed with minimum 55% aggregate marks if they are from General and
OBC-NCL category or minimum 50% if they are from SC/ST/PwD category.
Aspirants must follow the subject wise eligibility criteria also.
