Diwali
Diwali or Deepawali is a worldwide festival.The
festival is celebrated because Lord Rama came back
to Ayodhya after 14 years. People of Ayodhya
celebrated the big event by lighting lamps on the
doorsteps and veranda's. This a festival of lights.
Holi
Holi, also referred to as the “Festival of colours,” is
a festival of fun, mirth, frolic, dance, music and
color. It celebrated because Holika was dead on
this day who wants to kill Lord Vishnu’s devotee
Prahlad.
Ganesh Chaturthi:
Ganesh Chaturthi is an essential festival in
Maharashtra. This 10-days festival honours the birth
of the beloved, elephant-headed God, Lord Ganesh.
It starts at the Shukla Chaturthi and ends at the
Anant Chaturdashiof the Bhadrapad month.
Navaratri, Durga Puja, and Dussehra
Navaratri is a Hindu festival of dance and worship.
The Sanskrit concept of the word Navaratri is ‘nine
nights’. In this festival, people worship types of
Shakti. In Gujarat, Navaratri it's time for Garba
dance.
Janmashtami
Janmashtami or Krishnastami celebrated to welcome
Lord Krishna.Its the birth of Lord Krishna. Its 2 days
festival.The very first day is Gokul Ashtami and also
the second day is Kalastami, more typically referred
to as Janmashtami.
Baisakhi:
Baisakhi or Vaisakhi is a festival of India celebrated
basically in the Sikh community. It's the harvest
festival. Bhangra, the Punjabi folk dance is conducted
with on Baisakhi.
Christmas:
Christmas is a Christians festival but celebrated by
everyone in India and whole World. With lightings
and ornaments decoration this festival is
celebrated. Exchange of gifts is important part. Its
basically celebrated because on this day Lord Ishu
was born.
Guru Nanak Jayanti:
Guru Nanak Jayanti, also referred to as Gurupurab,
is the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak who was the
founding father of the Sikh belief. The Granth Sahib,
the holy book from the Sikh is read for 2 nights on
the festival.
Eid-Ul-Fitr
Eid-Ul-Fitr is an essential festival within the Muslim
community, not only to India, but additionally
around the world. The festival marks the most
important day in the Islam Community and its thirty
days fast of Ramadan also.
