Festival
The pongal is a harvesting festival and it can be considered as 
thanksgiving festival. We celebrate this festival to thank the god 
sun and lord Indra for helping farmers in getting better crops.
The month when we celebrate pongal is known as Tai month and 
the individuals of the Tamil Nadu believe that this month brings 
positive change in their lives and they get rid of their problems.
It is believed that this month is very auspicious for engagements,
