Tricity Local News
Coquitlam is moving ahead with the next phase of its ambitious
Fraser Mills development, unveiling plans for new parkland, trails,
recreational facilities, and public art that will reshape a historic
stretch of the city’s waterfront.
The former industrial site will give way to a mixed-use
neighbourhood with 5,500 residential units, a community centre,
office and retail space, and over 16 acres of parks along the Fraser
River. In a press release, Coquitlam said the first phase of public
amenities will focus on creating connected, accessible spaces that
blend recreation with history and nature.
Highlights include:
• Riverfront Park
• Historic Como Creek Greenway
• Entry Plaza and Dog Park
• Riverside Linear Park
