Port Moody Station Museum – Tricity Local News Discover the Rich Heritage of Port Moody at the POMO Museum Tricity Local News Established in 1969 by the Port Moody Historical Society, the museum was initially housed in a modest building on Kyle Street. In 1978, a significant transformation occurred when the society relocated the collection to Port Moody’s second Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) train station, built in 1908. This move not only preserved a vital piece of architectural history but also provided an authentic backdrop for the museum’s exhibits. In June 2023, reflecting a renewed vision and identity, the institution embraced the name “POMO Museum.” Exhibits and Attractions • The Venosta: A Journey Through Time • Port Moody Industries Exhibit • Our Living Languages: First Peoples’ Voices in BC • Inclusion Exhibit • Gardens and Outdoor Spaces • Events and Programs Port Moody Station Museum - www.tricitylocalnews.com Explore the rich heritage of Port Moody at the POMO Museum, housed in a historic 1908 railway station.
