CTL Engineering Can Design and Install Traffic Signals

CTL Engineering Can Design and Install Traffic Signals LOS ANGELES SIGNAL CONSTRUCTION, INC.  When traffic signals are adjusted, it can be gratifying to see an area that was plagued by frustrated drivers and screeching tires run much smoother. It’s a service many municipalities, counties, and other agencies need to do regularly.  UDOT provides world-class training for traffic signal contractors, maintenance crews, Resident Engineers, and inspectors. This training improves consistency statewide. Design  Traffic Signal Construction is experienced in traffic signal design and construction. This includes preparing construction drawings and constructing traffic signals, roadway electrical, and pedestrian indicator systems. We also do product submittal reviews and evaluations.  College Township needed to address a problem with their traffic signals going on flash and not responding to driver requests for the signal to respond. Trans Associates completed a design to correct this issue which included decorative pole bases, painted black traffic signal poles and controller assembly cabinets, new in-road crosswalk signals with lighted LED pushbuttons, and overhead street name signs.  If you need a system designed for your space, please fill out the professional design request form on this page and include a floor plan or blueprint of your space. One of our signal experts will review it and get back to you within 1 business day. Installation  Whether you need new traffic signals, pedestrian pushbuttons, LED lighting, or detector loops, the team at UberSignal can design an effective system for your specific needs. Fill out the professional design form to get started and an expert will contact you within 1 business day with a quote and a marked-up blueprint for how your system should be installed.  The Signal Design Section is responsible for the engineering, construction coordination, and field inspection of traffic signals maintained by the County. This includes developing signal timing plans, responding to customer complaints and inquiries, and monitoring and identifying operational and maintenance problems.  CTL Engineering also performs ITS Construction Inspections for ODOT District 8. These services include traffic signal and highway lighting construction inspection, fiber optic interconnect communication inspection, and product submittal review and evaluations. All of our staff are IMSA Traffic Signal Field Level III Certified. This ensures that we are qualified to review and inspect all construction activities involving traffic signals and ITS devices. Maintenance  Many motorists do not give thought to the function of traffic signals, they just see them as a regular part of their driving experiences. But, like any other technology, traffic signals need to be updated with developing technologies to remain relevant.  When properly timed, signal systems can improve pedestrian safety and increase the vehicle-carrying capacity of an intersection. They can also reduce the number and severity of certain types of crashes, notably right-angle collisions.  Smart traffic signals rely on multiple sensors to collect and analyze data. They can use above-ground detectors like loop detectors and pressure plates, as well as embedded sensors within a roadway surface such as video cameras or radar. They then apply advanced algorithms to optimize the timing and coordination of signals continuously throughout the day. Smart traffic signals can also exchange data with connected car devices (via DSRC or C-V2X), as well as cloud-based traffic management platforms and mobile travel or driving apps. Repair  Traffic Signal Technician include resetting conflict monitors, replacing cabinet filters, repairing signal heads, addressing wiring issues, and resolving other problems. It also includes performing annual preventative maintenance to check that signals are operating as designed. That detection is working properly, ensuring that poles and span wire are in good condition, and confirming that pedestrian phases are functioning.  Repairing traffic signal systems can involve laying conduit and splice boxes, installing electric cable using messenger or span wire, constructing steel poles, saw-cutting and installing loop wire for inductive vehicle detection, installing foundations for cabinets and steel poles, and replacing rusted, cracked, or damaged traffic signals and poles. It can also repair traffic signal equipment such as control units, power cables, flasher and detector cards, controllers, and lighting.  Training for signal maintenance professionals may include certification from vendors of equipment, work zone training, electrical safety, signal construction training based on standard drawings and specifications, fiber installation training including splicing techniques, network communications training (for wireless broadband radios, switches, cell modems), and more. It may also require fulfilling company tool list requirements and on- call duties such as responding to trouble calls or emergencies.
