How Many Types of Rooms Are There in a Hotel?
Different Kinds of Hotel Rooms
Since the hotel industry is so diversified, each hotel has developed
distinctive products and services to distinguish itself from others. When it
comes to hotel rooms, they are classified according to the services offered,
the clientele they are targeting, and their location to offer customers an
insight into their hotel and what they can anticipate from them. Whether
exploring an ocean view hotel in Kefalonia or another place, this blog
post demonstrates the prevalent types of hotel rooms available!
Room Types in Hotels!
Single Room:
A single room features one bed, typically 3 by 6 in size, for one person, and
the hotel can arrange an additional bed at the visitor's request and charge
accordingly. Yet, the notion of the single room is becoming obsolete as
twin or double rooms have taken their place.
Twin Room:
A double room consists of one double bed with standardized dimensions of
4.5 by 6 feet, perfect for two people. Similar to a twin and a single room,
you can request an extra bed if needed. The hotel will charge accordingly.
On the contrary, a triple room features three separate single beds,
accommodating three people. The room is perfect for meeting and
conference groups.
Quad, Hollywood Twin, and Double-double Room:
While, like its name, a quad room features four separate single beds,
accommodating four people in the same room, a Hollywood twin room
encompasses two single beds connected by a shared headboard, suitable for
two people. A double-double room comprises two double beds, allowing
four people to sleep comfortably, and is highly demanded by families or
groups.
King and Queen Room:
You all might be acquainted with this type of room, which comes with a
king-size bed with a standard size of 6 by 6 feet. You can further add an
extra bed, and its cost will add up to your total. Now, let's talk about the
queen room. This room features a queen size bed with dimensions 5 by 6
feet. In this as well, you can request an additional bed.
Interconnecting Room:
These types of rooms contain a shared wall and a door joining the two
rooms, enabling the guests to enter the other room without passing thru the
front way. Interconnecting rooms are the specialty of most 5-star hotels, be
it Lassi hotels or Kefalonia, making it the perfect space for families and
staff members.
Adjoining, Adjacent, and Parlor Room:
A wall interconnects the adjoining room with another hotel room without a
door. An adjacent room is close to another room, though they don't share a
wall. Parlor room is quite a new term for most people, encompassing a
living room without beds, having sofas and chairs for sitting. However, you
can't use this room as a bedroom.
Suit Room:
The suit features multiple rooms, with a single giant room with sleeping
and sitting spaces. The design of these rooms is of premium quality,
tailored to gratify elite people.
