Bimatoprost Eye drop is a 
prostaglandin which is manufactured 
by Ajanta Pharma. Prostaglandin is a 
solution that is used for the treatment 
of increased fluid pressure in the eyes 
and open-angle Glaucoma which is a 
condition that if not treated might lead 
to permanent vision loss or blindness.
Description
Bimatoprost Ophthalmic solution or BIMAT Eye Drops is used for multiple things. 
First of all, it is used for the treatment of increased fluid pressure in the eye. It also 
treats the inadequate number of eyelashes (or hypotrichosis), short length, 
thickness, and darkness of the lashes. The BIMAT eye drops are super effective 
in curing all these problems.
General Instructions for Using Bimatoprost for Eyelash

● Store the medicine in a cool and dry place.
● Keep away from the reach of children and pets.
● Women who are pregnant or planning for a baby should avoid using the 
medicine as it can cause harmful effects on the unborn child.
● Women who are breastfeeding must avoid eye drops.
● Do not use the medicine in case of any eye infection or injury.
● Always consult your doctor before you begin using the eye drops. Inform them 
about any prior known allergic reaction.
● Inform your doctor about any prior eye surgery.
Warnings
● Contact Lenses: The medicine must not be used in case you wear lenses. If you still want 
to use the lens, then remove the lenses before the use of the medicine. You can again wear 
the lenses after 15 minutes of putting the eye drops.
● Bacterial Keratitis: It is important to wash your hands before using the medicine. Do not let 
the tip of the drops be touched by the eyeballs or hands since it can cause contamination. It 
can lead to infection of the cornea. It is important to take all the necessary hygiene 
measures.
● Eyelash Changes and Pigmentation: There can be some changes in the thickness, 
length, pigmentation, and growth of the eyelashes. The medicine can also change the eye 
color of the eye in case the dressage is increased.
● Use in Pediatrics: Do not use it with children who are below 16 years of age. They might 
have strong side effects.
● Machine Operations: Do not use any machinery equipment for up to an hour after the 
application of this medicine as it might cause temporary blurry vision. Do not drive either.
Dosage of Bimatoprost
Consult your doctor before you start the application of the medicine. Follow strictly 
what has been told about the dosage instructions. In case of any missed dosage, 
do not try to overcompensate. If you have more than two hours of gap between 
the two dosages, you can add one eye drop. However because the gap is less 
than 2 hours, try to avoid the first drop and follow the pattern. Seek medical help in 
case you face any reaction because of the overdosage.
