 ADA stands for The Americans with Disability Act, established in 1990 under Section 504 
of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act. 
 It states that all individual should have equal accessibility, including online instructional 
opportunities. 
 Keeping in mind the need for e-learning for disabilities or people looking for continuing 
education, Architect-Forum has been providing the course - ADA standards for barrier-
free bathware for assisted living, and the course - accessibility, safety and platform lifts 
and elevators III program. 
 The first course is intended for design professionals, and the second course is for the 
importance of elevators and lifts industry. 
WHY IS ACCESSIBILITY IMPORTANT?
 Designing accessible courses was 
essential because it provides education 
many different opportunities to all 
students, for instance, a captioned 
video is not only helpful to the students 
who are deaf but also good for non-
native English speakers. 
 It provides a sense of independence to 
students with one or more disabilities. 
 In addition, when it comes to 
accessibility or ADA standards for 
barrier courses, it is better to be 
proactive than reactive.
