At Logan Airport Taxi Cab, we get frequent calls during the holiday season asking us for a city ride to the best places with X-ma light decorations in Boston. Boston’s Top 9 Holiday Light Displays
Take a drive or a walk to some of these must-see holiday displays while sipping on
an iced coffee. At Logan Airport Taxi Cab, we get frequent calls during the holiday
season asking us for a city ride to the best places with X-ma light decorations in
Boston. So, we have built a list this year based on our experience and our traveller’s
location preference for holiday lights sightseeing.
The best way to experience these places is by foot. But all of them may not be in
your neighbourhood. So, hiring a minivan or SUV can make the trip more
enjoyable. However, remember that driving past these decorations is not as
enjoyable as the walk. Our drivers drop travellers at the light display locations and
wait for about 30 mins at a parking area nearby. Then they pick the customers again
to visit the next location.
The list contains residences and other public places in Boston and surrounding
areas. You may add your preferred places in the comments box below.

Long Wharf’s Waterfront Park
One of Boston’s waterfront’s most beautiful light shows is this one. If you’re
not discouraged by the wind cold, go for a stroll in the park.
Pro tip: To escape traffic and the inevitable battle for parking, take the Blue
Line to the Aquarium stop.
Faneuil Hall

Last month saw the first Faneuil Hall tree lighting since before the COVID-19
pandemic. Quincy Market nearby is also illuminated.

Whether you’re looking for the Christmas tree or the menorah, Boston Common has a
festive vibe.
Before exploring the common, get some hot chocolate from the Thinking Cup or
Bakey on Tremont Street. Either that or a second iced coffee. As an alternative, you
might consider ice skating.
Zoo Lights at Stone Zoo
Experience the thousands of sparkling lights and animal lantern patterns spread over
20 acres of fancy Winterland at Stone Zoo. Visit reindeers, arctic foxes, black bears,
and Canadian lynxes at the zoo in the daytime.
Timings: Available till January 8, from 4 to 9:30 pm, excluding Christmas and
Christmas Eve.

Downtown Street Crossing
One of the few constants in downtown is the Macy’s Christmas tree. Check out
the decorations along Summer Street in Downtown Crossing for a busier,
cheerier scene. Along the way, you just could see a street performer.
Beacon Hill
Louisburg Square brownstones opted for chic lights and wreaths. The upscale,
affluent neighbourhood goes all out for Christmas all year long.
Purchasing cookware, dog treats, novels, and other items can be done along
Charles Street as you leave Beacon Hill.
