How to cope with LGBTQ issues like Gender orientation or gender dysphoria.
How to cope with LGBTQ issues like Gender orientation or g
ender dysphoria.
From ancient times society has despised and abhorred the people who were brave
enough to open up about their LGBTQ issues and they were damn right shunned by
society. And even today some people still don’t understand that LGBTQ preference is
not something a person has control over.
You cannot decide who you like or love it all depends on hormonal changes and other
factors. Society is just not comfortable with the fact of having people with mixed
preferences around them.
Although the awareness about the LGBTQ community or transgender group has
increased in
comparison to those old days yet there is some amount of stigma and hatred towards
the community which makes it very difficult to navigate life as an LGBTQ person.
Those who come out as part of the LGBTQ
or transgender community are more likely to
struggle with mental illnesses due to the fear and
stress induced by the discrimination and being
deserted by their family and friends. And to add to
the struggle issues like gender dysphoria where
your body doesn’t feel aligned with your sexual/
gender preferences can put you in discomfort.
Gender dysphoria can have a major effect on the
mental
health of an individual which can lead to
depression and can even hinder your sense of self-
worth and ability
to trust or love. And even though you can’t change
the ways of your body, you can use some tips to
help ease your discomfort with your body.
You can get yourself clothes and makeup that will make you feel more aligned with
your gender preferences. Doing this can help create a sense of self-satisfaction that
you look the way you feel.
Daily affirmation that you are content with who you are irrespective of what
your body looks like, can help you manifest that positive energy and
satisfaction, and even if you are just lying to yourself, the repeated affirmation
will hack your brain into the state of acceptance.
And try spending time with the people who support you and your gender
identity.
