Abiraterone acetate is a hormonal therapy used to treat prostate cancer  and belongs to a class of 
drugs known as anti-androgens .It is used together with corticosteroid for metastatic castration-
resistant prostate cancer and metastatic high-risk castration-sensitive prostate cancer.

Use of Abiraterone acetate
• Helps to treat castration-resistant prostate cancer.
• Testosterone is the natural hormone that helps prostate cancer to grow. Abiraterone acetate 
helps in slowing down the growth of prostate cancer. 
Dosage of Abiraterone acetate
• The recommended dose of abiraterone acetate is 250 mg.
• Take the dosage by mouth on empty stomach 1 hour before or 2 
hours after the meal once a day.
• This medicine must be taken on an empty stomach with a glass of 
water.
Side effects of Abiraterone acetate 
Possible side effects of Abiraterone acetate are:
