Abiraterone is an antiandrogen or anti-testosterone that helps to treat castration-resistant prostate cancer and sold under the brand name zytiga. Testosterone is the natural hormone that helps prostate cancer to grow. This mediation is not recommended for women and children. The recommended dose is abiraterone acetate 250 mg and is prescribed 2 tablets once a day which should be taken by mouth at least 1 hour before the meal and 2 hours after the meal. The possible side effects are cough, hot flushes, vomiting, night urination muscle aches.
