Pyelolithotomy is a 
surgical procedure 
used in cases 
involving a stone in 
the renal pelvis.

Minimal dissection of the 
renal sinus is usually 
needed, and exposure of 
the entire kidney is not 
required. This procedure 
is not indicated for the 
removal of entrapped 
caliceal stones or large, 
branched renal stone
